Tips for Selling Your Jewelry Through Auction:

Use an auction house that specializes in jewelry.
Get an auction estimate before selling your jewelry. You may be pleasantly surprised at its value. Auction estimates should be free.
Selling jewelry through an auction requires that it be properly researched, presented, and exposed to the best audience of buyers in order to bring the highest price. This process of selling your jewelry properly may take four to eight weeks.
Be less concerned about fees and more concerned with HOW the auction will provide maximum exposure for your jewelry. It is expensive to research and market your jewelry; auctions with very low fees cannot market effectively to the best buyers. A well-marketed piece will bring a far better price compared to one improperly marketed or underexposed.
